One of the most famous gods from Greek literature is Apollo. This site shows a picture of him. Apollo was the son of the god Zeus and his mistress, Leto. Zeus's wife, Hera, was extremely jealous
of Leto and forbade Leto a place to give birth on earth. Leto was able to seek refuge on the tiny island of Delos in the Aegean Sea. Since the island was said to be floating,
Leto was able to give birth to Apollo and his twin sister, Artemis.
Just like his father, Zeus, Apollo was the love interest of many a goddess and mortal. Being an attractive god, he was sought out by many, but he often initiated the affairs himself.
This site will only concentrate on three of his loves, although there are many more.
